Custom wedding wax seals for envelopes

Wedding wax seals are luxury, decorative elements used to seal wedding invitations. Fashioned by delicately melting wax upon the envelope flap, they’re most often personalised, stamped with something special to represent the engaged couple. Choose Peppermint Press wax seals for a refined and nostalgic look for your wedding invitations.

What you’ll need to know about wax seals:

What are wax seals for envelopes?

Wedding wax seals are elegant, decorative embellishments often used to add a touch of timeless charm to wedding stationery and invitations. They are created by melting wax onto the envelope flap and then stamping it with a personalised seal.

Typically, your wax seals will bear your initials as a couple or they will include a monogram or a symbol that holds special meaning to you.
Is it necessary to use wax seals on my envelopes?

Wax seals are not an imperative piece of wedding stationery. Traditionally, wax seals were used to secure letters and documents, serving as a symbol of authenticity and privacy. In the context of weddings - especially today - wax seals have evolved into a decorative element, adding a sense of nostalgia and refinement to stationery.

Most people who choose to use wedding seals enjoy the memorable first impression they create, which sets the tone for the wedding celebration to come.
Can I create custom wedding invitation wax seals?

At Peppermint Press, we offer wax seals in a number of beautiful styles and colours. From floral patterns, to initials and wording (such as ‘with love’) we provide seals for different tastes. However, if you are looking for something truly unique, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss your options for custom wax seals.
Should I use wax seals or paper envelope seals?

Wax seals are a more luxury version of paper envelope seals. Which option you choose depends both on your budget and your preferences.

If you prefer a sleek aesthetic, paper seals can provide a polished and precise appearance. Meanwhile, wax seals evoke a sense of tradition and charm, adding a touch of timeless charm to your invitations.

Please note that the envelopes provided with your purchases will seal like standard envelopes with moisture.
